Storyteller
I started making up stories long before I ever thought of myself as a storyteller. I harvested from my wandering imagination--mostly just to entertain my friends and myself. By the time I hit junior high I was writing Mad Magazine-like satires. Silly stuff, but grounded in an understanding that how one crafted their words was every bit as important as the story itself, and that capturing the essence of character revealed valuable insight, and glimpsed a larger understanding of the world that offered a kind of edge.
These days, I describe what I do as storytelling upon multiple platforms. From the page, to virtual, to built environments, I’m weaving threads of our desire, purpose and experience—to entertain, to expand the conversation, to offer something of value.
