Expertise:

Sports Marketing

I cut my teeth writing athletic brand stories for a world of Nike projects. In the quarter century since my first Nike ad, I’ve worked with every major sport and virtually every aspect of sports marketing, from colleges to integrated sponsorship sports branding experiences with NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB teams.

Branding

This is the hard work that informs and inspires every brand’s greeting to the world. It begins with understanding the interplay between who a company wishes to be, its promise, and its evolving relationship with its market across every touch point. I’ve helped lead many through this brand discovery process.

Experiential Brand Journey

In the late 1990s when I was working on the storytelling for the creation of NikeTowns, we never even heard the term, experiential branding, but that’s what we were doing. Since then, I’ve been involved in a lot of it—especially in my years of work with Downstream to help concept and construct the thematic drivers for built environments as diverse and layered as the user experience in a football stadium, to the customer journey through an executive briefing center integrating deep interactive platforms.
