An Oscar Winner Made This

A few years before Claudio Miranda won the Academy Award for Cinematography for the film, Life of Pi, he shot exquisite film for us in making six commercials for Mansion Poker—most of which I wrote.  

What a great learning experience watching him work. I even got to shoot with a steadycam one day.  

I also got to see how different lens setups look and feel, like this snorkel lens for shooting close-up chip and hand action at the card table. Most of the time I watched the beautiful shots from the monitor in video village.

All his film was brilliant. Over three weeks of editing, I never tired of looking at these spots. My favorite is Shambles.
