Oregonian

My entire family is from Ohio, but I was born in Eugene shortly after they moved to Oregon. I’ve lived here all but for a year I spent in New Zealand—which is a lot like Oregon. I moved to Portland in 1987.  I’m an ever-rarer native. I even fit the profile of the Northwest archetype of sensitive roughneck, who’s “doing okay, but getting damn sick of it.” I fit here. I’m a rainforest guy. 

I’m most at home on a high lake,

on our back roads,

or enjoying our neighborhood with our pups.
