Anthems Anchor Our Identity

At the risk of becoming known as the guy who writes anthems, I’ve written a lot of anthems. These big words carved into the built environment are more than dedications, they inform design, concept themes, and often speak to the heart of the visitor/user experience.

The first one I did was a labor of love for my alma mater.

It might rankle some UW fans to learn a Duck wrote all over their newly renovated Husky Stadium.

But the anthem itself was a hit.

So I did another for their renovated baseball stadium.

This is for the Milwaukee Bucks’ sales center for the new arena.

Fowler Center, the home of San Diego State University Aztecs athletics.

The Vikings’ anthem was part of the proposed Langskip Pavilion at the Minnesota Vikings’ new US Bank Stadium.

I even put a purposeful reminder in the portal of my old agency, Downstream.
